They are always really muted and clangy sounding - nothing like the realistic, reverby sound the instrument produces (which is also how it sounds when played back on the keyboard). When playing in the keyboard (headphones or not) I get a really beautiful sound, but even I try to amplify or add effects to the files once they are on my computer. My problem is that the files just sound terrible. I currently use the 'record' button on the keyboard, and I know how to send these midi files to my windows computer and convert them into wav. I am looking for advice on how to record the pieces that I write / practice on my Yamaha p-105 digital piano.
